Default help

Hello i have a 02 ws6 and i have owned it for about 3 weeks it is a 6 speed manual. I was just changed the oil and cleaned my k/n air filter last weekend and then all of a sudden when i am driving my car will like randomly sputter when i acclerate (mostly from low rpms until they get up to about 3k). like i said i it is not all of the time just sometimes. the other wierd thing is when it has its fit my temp guage goes from just under the 220 mark to 0 as if it lost power. none of the other guages move just the temp guage? I only mentioned the part about changing oil and cleaning filter in case that would have anything at all to do with it. ??? any suggestions

Thanks!

First thing I would do is clean the MAF sensor and the air temp sensor on the lid. If it wasnt for the temp gauge messing up I would say you over oiled your K&N and got oil on one of the sensors and its messing up...but with the Temp Gauge messing up like that I am not sure thats it. Its still worth a try though.

To clean them just spray the inside real well with eletrical parts cleaner and let it dry.

you know that is kind of what I was thinking also. after rereading the instructions on the k/n cleaning kit i definitely think you may be right. I will try that first and then go from there.. i guess the on the temp guage issue .. atleast it doesnt spike the other way? thanks for the advice appreciate it.
