Default lights flicker when car is cold ?

My 02 WS6 has a problem with the head lights and dash lights flickering when the car is cold ? Once it worms up the problem going away ? Anyone know what the problem could be . I just don't understand why it would only do it when it's cold

Thanks Lew

Might just be the air pump cycling, mine has done it from day one. Only notice it at night when the lights are on.

Agree with 2001NBMZ28. I had the same issue until I removed the entire AIR system. It's never flickered since.

Its shivering trying to warm up.

Sorry, had to do it. I have never owned my car with the air pump system on it so I don't have the problem. That's probably what it is.

My lights flickered for about a year before I found out it was the alternator. The voltage regulator inside of it apparently can't be tested and after rebuilding the original, rewiring, and lots of research, a new (remanufactured) alternator solved the problem for me.

thats what happened with me. my lights and dash were flickeringing pretty bad at night for about 6 months. so i got a rebuilt alternator and it fixed the problem.
