Sorry to hear that. If it disappered silently into the night, the question I would ask is whether the car had been shown at any events in the months prior to the theft. Similarly, since it did not surface for 2 years, that rules out the local joyride angle. Someone acoss the border or overseas may be the recipient of your pride and joy.

I was thinking the same thing but so many to steal from in FL or TX so why Arkansas with the additional distance and time needed to ship out? Very intriguing. I'm sorry about your loss. What theory does the detective have that worked your case?

The car was either shipped across the boarder or over seas. Or it was chopped up and sold. I doubt somoneone is holding on to it the way it left your garage.

That sucks! My 99 went missing one night, but we found it! 3 days later. 120 miles from home. In a vacant field. Stripped and burnt to a crisp
Theres always SOMEONE at my house. The ONE time we were ALL gone, to tke my brother to texas becuase he was moving. Suspicious right? And then the cops said that there was no sign of forced entry, some parts of the car were still there.
SO..... a month later, we find out my best friend had made copies of my keys, and stolen it, and sold it for $500 to a guy that sells the parts.
Whats worse than THAT, i had 2 payments to go before pay off.
that really sucks
im afraid after 2 years, there is a 0 % chance of finding it my friend it would have surfaced by now if it was going to. i am sorry for your loss
dude if my friend did some stuff like that to me, he isnt a friend. and i def would have went to town on his ass, he would have been in the hospital.... how did he make copies of your keys? i never let mine out of my sight no matter what, my mother had to practically pry them out of my hands a few years back just to take the car for a spin cause i was trying to talk her into pickin up a 02 SS, then i called her every 2 minutes to make sure my baby was ok

Well duh he isn't friend anymore. I didn't do anything to him becuase i was so involved with the cops, i talked to them every day for like a month and half and then every other day for like 3 more months, they were really helpful! They helped me deal with my insurance and everything. BUt my cousin kicked his ass good for me, and while i was conveniently WITH a deputy, so no one ever pointed a finger at me lol. Well, thinking back, there was a day where he had spent the night at my house and got drunk. In the mornig he had left for work before i got up. He came ot my house for his lunch hour and he brought my keys saying he mistakingly took them. This was like a year before my car was stolen, but its the only time hes ever had my keys. I know thats a long time to wait, but its gotta take some balls to sdteal what your best friend loves more than anything. And i dont think he only got $500 for it, thats just hat he said.

Possibly someone was shipping it down to the Gulf?
If this was a custom order, it could have been loaded on a closed truck somewhere along the way.
I doubt any detective worked that case seriously. With so little to go on and this having been more than 2 years ago, this is a cold dead file. The only solace you can take is that at least you have an excuse to go out and play with a new 2010 Z28.
