Oh Lord!! I hope if they decide to bring the Bird back that they don't do the gay ass retro thing. I think the retro act is cute for some cars - orignial cars like the PT Cruiser, but to do on existing cars or worse to help bring the car back into the market (like the T-Bird) is such a dumb idea. I think the new Stangs are ok looking but I think Ford wussed out with the design. Instead of making the car more aggressive looking they played to the masses and made it "cute", there is nothing muscle about it (300 hp or not). The last design was much better. I know a lot of people use the argument for the new stang design that it's for the old guys who like the old style but want new comforts.....blah...bad argument! I say if you like the old style, buy one and modernize it. I like my T/A because (among a lot of things) the fact that it looks mean and aggressive not powdery and lite.

Having said that the concept renderings out on the net for the 2007 Camaro have that retro look but are still very aggressive and muscle-car looking, where the concept renderings and show car for the stang were always a little wimpy. I do like the Camaro renderings (even though the look is retro), I just think Ford really dropped the ball.

Sorry about the rant, all of it is just my opinion, not fact.

The first two look like a cross between a covair and a sunbird. Trans_am05's first car isn't terrible, But looks too much like a C6. I like the headlights. I like the looks of the Solstice, but it needs a ls2.

agreed about the mustang looking a little girly, I saw one a couple weeks ago in a lime green color and i expected a girl to be driving it, but surprisingly it was a man!!

id like to see firebird go with the 1970s trans am style, but more modern. kind of like how the camaro is planned to be like and how the new mustangs went back. i like how theyve gone back to their roots. its kinda touchy though, i wouldnt want to see it ruined though.

2006 camaro i dunno how i feel about it actually

Well at least they didn't make it a 4 door like the Dodge Charger :-) I am still out on that design too.

My god that is the most ugly car ive seen in a while. Ya know car companys research air flow for years on Camaros Trans Ams Mustangs Then they turn around and put a damn flat front face on the cars just so they will sell. How do yall think that new Stangs going to do up around 130 be like driving a brick lol

i made that thing with my eth-a-sketch on recess one day i think.

anyways

I was in columbus OH at the GoodGuy nationals and theres some company, i think in the MICH area, thats reproducing the body-by-fisher. Technically they say its only a '69 camaro, but anybody with a year-one catologue and enough jack to buy some new quarters will be making themselves a '69 firebird. Ill dig around at home and let you guys know who the new mfgr will be.

We can only hope that they bring back the bird one day. I hope that if and when that decision is reached however, they do not ruin it.
