Wow, that's a real stretch from the 1st generation. That's Atari 2600-level computer artwork too.

Yeah I was gonna say. Not good CGI nor does it really have anything modern about it. I wish they would re-introduce the birds in 2007 along with the camaros but god help GM if it looks like that.

Retro sucks. To me it's a lazy way to cash in on an old idea that worked.

i dig the the nostalgic designs in new stuff, not to look just like it, but to bring a little bit back to when it all started. the retro stuff is what paved the way for what we have now, and i like the look of the old stuff. if they do put a little of the old in with the new, i agree it shouldnt be using the old proven stuff to sell again, just make you think back to when they first came out. and to say they'll ruin it, they'll probably ruin it for some of us, and people who hated the old ones will love the new ones, its hit or miss. i just hope they dont turn it into a mercedes or a cadillac like everyone else is doing. if i wanted a mercedes, id get one, what happened to variety??

The 4th Gen WS6 'birds looked the absolute best of the entire line........... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If they ever DO bring them back, I would hope they would be nearly identical to the last of the breed that were made.

OUR car is an 89 Firebird Formula, fully restored; SOM; all-new custom suspension; 4th gen brakes/wheels/9" rear; fully custom 402ci LS2 stroker; T56; and more!!

My wife never got to see it finished (one of her greatest wishes), but I'm going to dedicate an annual group car cruise to her after it's done.
