There's not really any blue in it, it's definitely purple. The car in your signature picture appears to be Navy Blue Metallic.

The purple color from '98 looks like this.. paint RPO code is 88U.

'Fraid I haven't seen any details on those 14.

Breakdown of the 129 Camaro 1LEs in 1998: http://www.1le.net/docs/1998_camaro_...n_numbers.html
Quote:
Camaro 1LE:

10U White - 17
11U Pewter - 30
13U Silver - 9
28U Navy - 8
31U Bright Green - 1
41U Black - 31
63U Gold - 3
79U Teal - 5
81U Red - 18
88U B. Purple - 0
96U Ceyenne - 7
If the percentages are similar for the Formulas, that would be 7% silver out of 14, which is about 1. So if they're similar, yours may well be the only silver one.

Pontiac Historic Services is probably your only chance of finding out for sure. http://www.phs-online.com

Well, there's only 14 of them... I found five (yours makes 6), narrows it down some...

red - Todd Brandon aka 'Reckless'; sold to Chuck aka 'weranc55'; sold to 'b18c1hybrid' - http://www.1le.net/members/Todd_Brandon/index.html , 1998 Formula 1LE low 10 sec car

red - Bob aka 'NRC-Motorsports' (bought from someone in California) - http://www.fastls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2456 (his is not Reckless's - see http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:...x.php/t-122565 where NRC refers to them separately )

black - 'MW2 Performance'/'SloMaroZ' - Guaging Interest 98 Formula WS6, M6, 1LE!!! 1 of 14!

black - sold on ebay by 'apfina' (Apple Finance) - WS6 Formula 1LE on ebay

black - '99SSinOC'/'wtb98ss' (said was sold to someone named Joe, but apparently that fell through, was re-sold four months later) - Gauging interest (98 WS6 1LE) For sale, 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula WS6 1LE, 98 Firebird Formula WS6 1LE 6 sp. Black 1 of 14 16k obo., 1998 Firebird Formula WS6 1LE $14,000 6-Speed

I'd like to see a breakdown of the WS.6 packages for every year, like how many where 6 speed, t-tops, a certain color, ETC.

According the the 1997, only 14% of all 'Birds had the M6, thats me. only 2827 WS.6s made, again me. I'd like to know how many where black though.

drohm6 and bdr_ws6 -

For any information not in the links I posted (which unfortunately there are a lot of gaps, particularly in color stats), can do rough general estimate calculations, but there's no way to get actual numbers for anything not there, except what you might be able to get from Pontiac Historical Services.

miamifan3413 -

98 is one of the years fortunate to have more numbers available than most (particularly the color stats)...

2123 total Formula coupes

651 Formula coupes with M6 (30.7% of total Formula coupes)

556 hardtop Formula coupes (2123 - 1567 with t-tops = 556) (26.2% of total Formula coupes)

397 Formula coupes with red exterior (18.7% of total Formula coupes)

so, estimate of how many in that combination: 2123 x 30.7% x 26.2% x 18.7% = approximately 32 cars

What all can you get from there for the newer cars like ours? I thought about getting the package but didn't know if it would be worth it.

Gonna bump this one up 'cause i just noticed something.

ACW - those last three cars you listed are all the same car. I think. I read through the threads you posted and it looks like 99SSinOC bought the ebay car, and MW2 performance bought it from 99SSinOC.

I may have a lead on a black '98 1LE here in KC. If i find anything out i'll post up.

LOL. Darn! That certainly is possible. I didn't examine them really closely.

Good luck on that Formula 1LE
