I don't understand why they're aren't any records on the Firebird production nuimbers for 1999-2001
Yeah, it's unfortunate that the information is so sparse for some years. Surely GM kept track of how many they were making/selling, but for some reason they haven't bothered to tell anyone else!
Here are the Firebird production numbers links I have bookmarked:
Well that at least tells me that I have one of 1,602 Formula's from 2000.
I wish I knew how many were hard top M6's.
Pretty sure a hardtop Formula in Blue-Green Chameleon is pretty rare.
i have a 98 hard top m6 in the blue-purple chamelion...if im reading the numbers right, im 1 out of 26???
Well, a 98 hardtop M6 I assume is Formula...
There were 26 total Formula coupes (both T-top and hardtop) in Purple. There were 124 total Formula coupes (both T-top and hardtop) in Blue-Green Chameleon. If you tell me which of those two colors you actually have, I can calculate the approximate number of those which would be hardtop M6s.
Riceburner - I haven't seen BGC in person, but I don't think it has a purple shade to it... if your paint really is blue-purple, sounds like a cool color, but it's probably not the original factory paint
I can't determine your original color from the VIN (although a GM dealership could using their database, it's not actually part of the VIN). I'd need your color code from the RPO sticker on the driver's-side door frame. If you don't know which is the color code, just post everything that it says on the sticker.
It's the one with a whole bunch of three-character codes - a few examples of RPO codes are WS9, WS6, Y2Y, B4C, Z28, ....
There may also be some other stuff at the top and bottom of the sticker, such as a few longer numbers, etc. There are some photos available online of what an RPO sticker looks like, don't have one on hand at the moment; but it should be pretty easy to spot.
This thread is a great idea, and a long time coming
Absolutely!

Looks like 93 was the smallest build of the 4th gen .And after going to the T/A Nationals and only seeing 2 93s one being a Firehawk. Makes me feel pretty good haveing a 93 .Now if i just had some $$$$ for a few mods
