I'm on my second Formula. First time I looked for a TA and ended up with a Formula because it was a great deal. Second time around I was looking for a Formula. The look has grown on me and I like it better now. I also like how everyone thinks it's a V6.

One of the 2002 guys checkin in, an auto so looking at the last post I see 1 of 492. White car nonetheless, so that must narrow it down a bit.
Recent January mods yeild 376 rwhp - 361 rwtq, but now need track times.

another here, I liked the feature of the Formula compared to the T/A. A little lighter, and most dumb ricers (as compared to smart ricers?) that see my single exhaust pipe think it's a 6-cylinder.

Derek
what about no exhaust tips i don't think i could pass by as a v-6 with the cam, long-tubes, orx, and duals

Anybody have production numbers for the 2001 Formulas. I have a Pewter, A4, Hard-top. I was thinking it was pretty rare, but how rare is it?

You'd be surprised what kind of people ask the questions or make the statements I hear sometimes...

You need to hear me have to explain a Firehawk. Hell, even my wife is good at putting it into dummy terms...

Formula Firehawk here. I originally wanted a 1LE but was a couple three months too late for that so I got what I thought might be the next best thing.

I like it but I still wish I could have gotten a 1LE.

Generally less standard equipment. No T-tops, leather power seats, etc...
Not that you couldn't order them with that...

I had a guy ask me @ the car show Saturday night if my car was a six cylinder, he was clueless to a formula. When I bought mine it had a T/A rear hatch on it, I thought about changing it, but I now think it looks good.

I've got an 89 Formula. Best of the 3rd gen f-bodies, in my opinion. (Although you won't be able to call it a true "3rd gen" once the current project in my sig is done!!)

OUR car is an 89 Firebird Formula, fully restored; SOM; all-new custom suspension; 4th gen brakes/wheels/9" rear; fully custom 402ci LS2 stroker; T56; and more!!

My wife never got to see it finished (one of her greatest wishes), but I'm going to dedicate an annual group car cruise to her after it's done.
