Default Early 4thgen Trans Am concept cars *pix*

After making a post of the California Camaro IROC-Z Concept in the Camaro section, I thought back to a picture I've seen of the 4thgen Firebird concept. After several hours of searching, I finally found pictures of the 4thgen concept car.

Here's a link to the California Camaro for you lazy bastards

"A musclecar, by definition, is a powerful and sporty vehicle that must be able to spin its tires at will. The Firebird Trans Am is capable of laying down twin black streaks of rubber several hundred feet long. We wanted to be sure it could, so we did it a half dozen times in the name of automotive science." -Motor Trend

The "Tomcat" version (the basis for the windshield angle) reminds me of a first-generation Dodge Intrepid.

It's amazing where they started out and ended up. I'm glad where they ended up though... those are kind of ugly IMO. Espcially the ugly rocky horror picture show looking woman next to the first concept car.

I was surprized to find those too. I'd bought a few old Firebird books on ebay a few months ago, and had no idea what was inside.

Cool pics, luckily none of those made it to production. I like the 4th how it is.
