89KARR, awesome conversion! Question, how did you do the taillights? Did you get the wiring harness as well as the taillights, did you rewire it yourself, or did leave it alone have do something different?
Heres my 83, dad bought it brand new in 1983 with 7 miles on it. has a 88,000 now. ive put 40,000 in the past 4 years though. Everything is original, even the paint, except for a few modifications to the engine.

I used 2 sockets off an 82 harness I believe. Two of the 3 wire sockets. All the tail lights work as they should. Brake lights work as they did in 82. The only thing different is the blinkers. That was no sane way to hook these up without adapters/ trailer harness thinga-ma-bobs, so my blinkers are the single lights on the outside of the brake lights. Here is a pic of the brake lights. I had 82 Firebird lights for the short term, cuz TA tail lights are hard to find. But I found some as you can see in the following pic. You can see the butt connectors in the second pic.

Here is my ol lady's 1985 Firebird (first car she ever bought). It started life as a 2.8 V6 car, then she decided to build a big block for it. 468ci Chevy Big Block, Turbo 350 and someday soon a nice moser 9". Right now it has AFCO coil-over's up front to hold the front end up! One picture shows a mock up of Z06 wheels I'm hoping to replace instead of the old orca wheels.
