Ah i misread lol. My bad. Must have been when my wife kicked me this morning lol. Well either way im sure neither car is to common. The WS6 is what i have now my Formula is no longer with us. On our 1 month anniversary of being married something came loose under the hood and my precious formula caught fire. It took 6 mins for the fire dept to get there and put the fire out. It burnt from the nose to the back seats so pretty much nothing was salvagable besides the drivetrain. But thats life i suppose. Thanks for the info and correction lol.
I have a 1997 black automatic ram air convert with a taupe top and taupe leather interior. Does anyone have 97specific numbers(trans, colors) other than there were 463 convert ram airs built. That is all I can seem to find.
Thanks,

No color option breakdown on the WS6s, but some additional info:
The 463 convert WS6s built were T/As, there were also 41 Formula WS6 'verts built in '97.
Caviats:
* = The numbers in the body color breakdown I have totals up to 1385 (5 cars are missing, don't know what those colors would be)
** = The numbers in the interior breakdown I have totals up to 1236 (154 cars are missing, don't know what those interiors would be)
I just bought a set of charcoal cloth seats out of an '00 Firebird to go in my '98 Z28. I need to replace one of the back seats I just bought because of some minor cuts. So my question is, what year(s) did the cloth interior colors and/or fabric designs change?
For example, the '98 and '99 Camaro interiors are identical, but they changed over from a a dark gray to a black (ebony) in either '00 or '01, so the seats won't match between those years. Did the Firebird change colors and/or fabric designs as well? What year(s) cloth seats will match the '00 cloth interior?
I checked the FAQ's and couldn't find the breakdown I was looking for.

I guessing you'll have to contact SLP directly for that info. I seriously doubt GM-VIS contains info on which SLP options were installed since they don't have individual RPOs.

I know in '98 cloth interiors came in Pewter and Taupe, while leather was available in Pewter and Taupe, and white leather was available in the 'verts.
I do remember black leather becoming available (and may have replaced pewter leather) in the T/As in 2000, but I'm not sure if black cloth was also available (and possibly replaced pewter cloth) on the Firebirds/Formulas.

As far as I can tell, the '98 - '00 Firebird cloth interior looks to be the same color and pattern, at least that's what it looks like from the few pics I can find. Did the Firebirds switch over to BLACK cloth in '01-'02 from the charcoal color of the '00's?
Can anyone confirm if the the '00 and the '97 dark gray cloth interios is the same color and pattern? I found what I'm looking for from a '97, but it's hard to tell from the pics if it's the EXACT same to match the '00.
'96 & '97 = Metrix cloth, Graphite color
'98 & '99 = Metrix cloth, Dark Gray color
'00 & '01 = Cartagena cloth, Ebony color
I found that info here: Original Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am 1967-2002: The Restorer's Guide By Jim Schild
However, I've found a set of seat covers for a '97 and they LOOK like they will match the '00 (trying to compare a pic from a seller with what I've got here), so my question is, did GM just change the names and NOT the actual product, or IS there a difference between '97 and '00 Fiebird cloth interior colors/fabrics?
Usually production transition occurs in / around August. My '98 was converted in July '98, and by Sept '98 the '99s were already being delivered. This might vary slighly from year to year depending on economy, sales, inventory, strikes, etc.
FWIW, the first '98 WS6 was converted at ASC on 2/18/98. Although there may have been a '97 mule w/ '98 body parts running around before that.
