Firebird Production Number, Color Breakouts, Options, Etc.....POST QUESTIONS HERE! It seems that many of us would like more info on production information concerning our 'birds. With all the threads that get started requesting information, it would be much better to contain them all into one thread. Going forward, please post all your questions regarding production information in this thread. Also, if you can't find your thread look in here! I just might have moved it in here.
Please refrain from bickering, etc., if differing information is posted. We all know that the record-keeping wasn't the greatest. I personally have found differing information amongst different authors that have written Firebird books.

Early 01s got the 98-00 WS6 style wheels and later 01s got the 02 WS6 Speedlines. So an 01 can have either style wheel from the factory.

I would suspect it would be a true mid year change....all you have to find is when Job 2 started. Also I would bet if you tried to order a set of factory wheels the parts computer would list both wheels would say either "cars produced before xx/xx/01" or "VIN numbers prior to" to be able to get the correct wheel for your car. Then again with GMs pathetic record keeping it might not.
On the other hand they very well may have just used up all the old style wheels and then started using the new ones mid run.

I'll bet it exists somewhere in some type of internal bulletin.
My 2001 was built is August '00 (ASC built #406) and it has 'em.
