| My Parents bought a G8 Well my dad called me up today and told me that him and my mom just bought a G8, I got really excited and drove over to their house.
Its just a plain V6 with no real bells or whistles, but its really nice, I drove it around and its got some balls.
Anyways its a pretty sweet ride. I think I might have to buy one for my woman when we finally get married, so she can have a safe nice car, hahaha and so I can drive it

| Very cool. What was the reasoning for them getting the V6? It's only slightly better on gas and marginally cheaper. Just curious.
That sounds like the perfect "justification" for you to get one for your girl

That sounds like the perfect "justification" for you to get one for your girl | Probably the "We don't need that kind of power" reasoning, which is based off what MY parents would say Although my dad does like the Mazda 6 Turbo haha He drives a 97 Yota Previa (AKA The Jelly Bean, google it and youi'll see hwy) which is an AWD Supercharged 4cyl and he thinks it has balls >_> Yet, it's EPA rated gas mileage is worse than our Firebirds with A4s! Even my less efficient 93! Sorry off-topic
I'm really debating going to test drive a GP GXP LS4 and then a V8 G8 just to see how they pull. I know they'd smoke my car, but still would be cool to test drive. Even the V6 G8 I'd settle for if they didn't have a V8 on the lot.
EDIT: lol I was searching for the Commodore spoilers and SOMEHOW a Jelly Bean came up! Here's a pic (large, but easily 56K-able) http://203.36.33.170/webfiles/imw/8/29/014615829.jpg

| my best friend back home his mom had one of those, but it was brownish red
honestly I have no idea why my dad didnt go for a V8
he had a few reasons, but they were all flimsy excuses
first was they had a 1500 dollar rebate on the V6.
Second my mom might not handle the power
third was cost, and fuel economy
I think I was the most disappointed that they didnt get one with the premium sound package, that premuim stereo is awesome with the big ole screen and stuff
but I told them, you get way more with the v8 not just power and the economy is only 1mpg less

| V8 runs on regular too. Huge plus. If something happened to my GTO, I'd seriously be considering a G8 GT to replace it. |
