|  Is the G8 going to have a 6 speed Manual or..
is anyone installing a 6 speed?

you'll be able to get the upcoming G8 GXP with a 6 speed

Stupid of GM to not offer this in manual. If they truly want to compete with companies like BMW (who attracts driving enthusiasts) they need to offer a manual transmission. Hell they are cheaper then automatics anyways.

The reason GM does not offer a 6 speed in the G8 GT is because the L76 V8 has the DoD system. For some reason GM can't get the DoD and the 6 speed trans. to link up correctly. This is exactly why if you get a 6 speed in the 2010 Camaro SS you get the LS3, and if you get the auto you get the L76 engine. The only way you can get a 6 speed in a G8 is to get the GXP, which has the LS3.
