| G8 GXP release date? Hey guys, I was looking around both the forums here and the net and was wondering when the G8 GXP was going to be released. Or has there even been an estimate set? I am very interested in looking into one of them and was just curious.

| My wife went down and test drove a GT yesterday. She asked about the GXP because she wants a 6 speed and they told her it was supposed to hit the showrooms in mid January but due to the current situation at GM they were unsure when is will show and they didnt even have an idea of pricing on it.

| Everything I've seen and heard (including talking to salesmen) says that it'll be around $40,000. That's why I went with the GT. I wanted an auto and I can make up the extra 40 hp with a couple mods. If you want the 6 speed though then you'll probably have to shell out the extra $$ for the GXP.

| I doubt it's gonna be that low. That'd only be $4000 more than the GT. Don't get me wrong though, it'll be awesome if that is the price!

| I'll bet the salesman wanted a sale that day and was trying to discourage you from waiting and (maybe) coming back in a few months. Quote:

| Delaying it until the Camaro is released is a pretty good idea. When people find out the wait/ADM on the Camaro the sales people can just push them over to Pontiac.
