Default just drove an 09 really quick

there alittle more pricey than the 08 i beleive, nice and roomy and should sit 4 very well, love the radio in it, and how all the controls are on the center concel(sp), nice trunk space. i drove a base model GT no sunroof or 19", doesnt matter i think the sticker on that was 32,xxxx and the ones with sunroof and fully loaded were 35k range. only dislike is how the seats are adjusted other than that a very nice car

also it does nice easy burnouts and fells quick for what it is and shifts are nice and firm, i didnt really play with manual shifting

I thought the manual shift feature was a little slow, albeit the little bit I played with it. Reminded me of manually shifting a 4l60E.
GM started a $1000 price hike on almost all 09 models.

Didn't know they did a price hike, I saw one with every single option minus sunroof for under $32 that was an '08.

Yup, almost all GM models got the 1K price hike. They are trying to make up for lackluster sales.

I test drove a G8 GT yesterday. Beautiful car.

Yep, the tap shift was really slow and useless. No use having it when it takes that long to react to input. I'm not sure that tacking on $1000 when sales are slow is a smart choice either.

Price hikes typically only come on vehicles are exceeding their sales predictions. The hybrids at most manufactures are receiving 1-10k markups, so IMHO a markup is generally a good thing for Pontiac.

The 6l80e T43 trans controller is tunable you can firm it up a reasonable amount with efilive etc, the ozzies have been doing that for a while
