The GXP will have the same acceleration as my 01 TA WS6 with mods. I am so psyched about this car. Finally I will have a family car that gives me driving excitement like the TA did.

Those LS3's have quite a bit of potential.

Because some people actually need 4 doors and the extra room? The cars aren't meant for the same buyer.

Exactly.

The trunk space and the four doors will be a welcome change. Not that the bluetooth and satelite radio will hurt any or the heated seats and Brembo brakes.

I think he's talking about the G8 GT and just said SS by mistake.

Because a G8 GT is not the same as an LS3 powered 6 speed GXP

Yeah, it's likely going to be too expensive for the brand and that's a hefty premium over the GT model. Dealers will probably end up giving these away like they did the GTO. Maybe I should have waited afterall.

I doubt the GXPs are going to be given away. As much upgrades as there is over the GT the GXP will be well worth the wait/pricetag

wouldn't mind one of these. A decent cam and bolt-ons will get over the 500rwhp mark easy

I think the g8gt is a great value, mine ran 13.82 with a spectre cai. I know some have run faster and some slower. You can buy a cts-v for more money and not have in my opinion the style of the the g8. You can also take a stock g8 in the low $30's and spend a couple thou and have over 400 hp and run low thirteens or even in the 12's and still not have over 34k in it. You can't do that with many 4 doors. The ss will be over priced as the dealers are gonna try to make a klling off it. The gxp will be a little hefty in price, but, will still be a great value under 40k. I prefer to put a little more money in my gt and still be happy. I think the gxp with the 6 speed will be the ticket. I'm happy with mine and my goal is to get it in the low 13's, with a little more work and not much money I'll be there. Got the eibach drop and spectre cai and rotofab covers. Still way under 34 not including wheels and probably about 375 hp now.
