Default Spare tire sizes

Hey guys quick question, whats the size of a 04-06 GTO spare tire? Also wondering if they can second as skinnies for drag racing, with real tires of course. Thnx.

There are quite a few guys running spares as front runners. If I remember right the size to look for is 4.5/26.0-17 and m&h has them and they are called racemaster front runners.

So the GTO spares do work as skinnies? Cool, that should save me some dough. Gonna look up those tires, thnx.

I don't know if he posts here but his screen name is the reaper and he is running them. Las week at the goatrun mike haddad made a comment about shaving 2/10s off a 1/4 time due to taking that much rotating mass off the front. To save some time if I recall correctly jegs has them for around 130 each where as m&h wants near 150.

What spacers? To me the fronts look like regular spare rims.

The spacer is to move the rim out from under the struts

I really wanna make it man! I need some skinnies though. With skinnies and in bakersfield I know can run some sick ass times. Also looking for a hotel to stay up there.

You can run the spares without spacers, but some people think that they look better spaced out. Also, the stock Goodyear tires are good to 129mph for straight line use per Goodyear. They are speed rated for street use taking into account the load during cornering.

If that is the case I'll think about using them as is at the track day since I can't seem to find the extra $270 to buy front runners right now.
