Default GTO Gauge Cluster Question mph/o

My buddy went and looked at a 2004 GTO for sale at a dealer and asked if i knew what mph/o meant on the gauge cluster. He said it read 125 mph/o I have no idea, i thought maybe it might be the trip odometer but i dont know why it would say mph? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

LOL, if it had a 125 overspeed set the previous owner must have stomped it all the time.

Hell my overspeed warning was set at 30mph when I first test drove the car and now I keep it at 130, but never go that fast.

I'm pretty sure it's max setting is 130mph. I have heard that you can get them turned off completely though.

Max setting is at 135. Mine is set at 133. It's a bit unsettling when the car starts beeping at you when you're exceeding 133MPH.

Actually, I just assumed it did since mine came that way, but maybe it was set to whatever the computer pushed at random, lol
