Its not that cut and dry.

The GTO's may weigh a bit more... but they also have better gearing and less restrictive exhaust (TD's from the factory).

Stock LS1 Fbody to Stock LS1 GTO would be a drivers race.

Internet times? I guess if you live in the mountains, those times you are quoting would be true. Come down to see level and they run .5 second faster. I've seen/done it, many other F-Body "clubs" have seen it, but I guess you didn't see it means it didn't happen.
