Default 3 inch exhaust question

i have a fi car. 8.8 psi of boost at 6500 rpm's . if i go with a 3inch exhaust will i lose some boost.?

Possibly, does not necessarily mean you will lose HP though...

if u go to a more free flowing exhaust, then yes u will loose boost. but boost is just a restriction of air so when u loose it after exhaust, that means more of it made it in the engine resulting in more power, so yes less boost can mean more power.
