It could be worse, GM and Ford, now that would be something. Combine the two pony cars and you would have a Mustaro.

That wouldn't be bad at all. Imagine an SVT led project starting with an LS3 block and going to town with F/I. ZR1 drivetrain in a 40k car lol.

I don't see it happening.... GM has always been interested in merging with top companies as far as I know.

from the stuff I have read, its more like GM will buy Chrysler than a merge.

but I doubt this will happen

Chrysler likes to suck too much to join a winning team

I think the parent company of Chrysler wants the GMAC Finance company. This could prove to be very fruitful for both. Ford would never be able to compete with this company if it happens. And I like the new challenger so it would be great to go into a showroom and see the new challenger side by side with the new camaro.

Yes. This would be more of a trade than anything. Cerberus which owns Chrysler would be giving Chrysler to GM in exchange for GM giving up their remaining stake in GMAC financing. I like how this topic is in like every section of the site.
