I like it, not enough to buy one though. It is nice to see GM making leaps like this one, I'm just not a sedan guy. As for driving in the snow, I think with todays traction and stability control it might not be that bad. Plus if you think about it you really only deal with snow about 10 days a year. The streets get cleared in a few days after snow fall.

I really like this G8. GM is headed in the right direction with new cars like this one. I wish they would left the LS2 engine under the hood.

I don't think it ever HAD an LS2 - unless I'm mistaken.

I would not doubt if the Maro has that V8 in it as an SS with the LS3 in the Z/28...or just wishful thinking (or that V8 in an RS model)!!! Looks like they are in the right direction...but I think this car is fuggly. Should just import the Commodore!!!

VERY Nice, I think it is WAY better than the current Grand Prix and will make a great replacement! The interior is amazing compared to that of the grand prixs, and if the seats are anything like the GTO's I think this car will be a winner.. I am glad that GM is going to have some Kick Ass Sedans (G8, New Impala) on the road by the time I have a family and need to change to a nice used 4 door in four years or so.

In time it'll be awesome.

FWD sucks in the snow. Driving wheels + Steering Wheels = NO turning ability.

rear wheel drive isn't THAT bad in the snow. 60% of the vehicles on the road are 2wd trucks (it seems) and you don't see all of them on the side of the road. Also, new stability control systems are awsum...The way I figure it..If grandmas could get around in the 50's and 60's w/ rwd...so can I.

RWD rules. period. I drive a 96 caprice and I have NO problems in the snow, exc. in those couple days a year (if that) where it snows really heavy and the roads are 8" thick with snow. then its only a problem to get started. and the FWD cars would have almost as much slipping in that same snow.

my wife used to have an 04GP (lease) and I loved that car. now in an 05 impala and its ok. guess Id like it better if we upgraded to the 3.8l like the GP had. Im very hopeful, this G8 car looks really nice in the pics. I work in a pont. dealership so I'll get to see them soon enough I guess. Ive thought GM needs to bring back RWD cars since they went away from them. remember how popular the B body's were in the 80's?

also just saw that this car will have the L76 engine. so the L92 heads could be an upgrade.

and, the v8 will take 8.9Qts oil

Well I will be in the market in Aug so as long as the price is right, I will be looking deeply into one of these...in the mean time racking up GM points on my card.

Why do you supose the L76 is only 6.0L in this car vs 6.2 like in the trucks?

So they are going to call the higher model a GT. Does that mean a GXP will follow with even more performance? I would hate to spend the money on the GT just to hear a GXP comes out with more power and performance.
