| Am I the only one that thinks.... ...that this would make an awesome Pontiac?
The Opel GTC concept.
A couple videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRyzbIlvIJc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u47eUc47mzo
AWD. 300hp. Good looks. What's not to like?
GM needs to build this car and bring it to the US!!!

| It would make an awesome car, but there is no reason they shouldn't use a new name. GTO or firebird wouldn't fit the bill. |

| Oh I definitely agree that it should have a unique name.
It's slightly bigger than a G6, so it could be the G6's replacement.
Yeah, Saturn has become the GMNA Opel, but this car says Pontiac to me for some reason.

| Yea, G7 or Saturn def. Looks like what the G6 should've been. And if Open IS selling it, then GM is already making it

| Opel is not selling it yet, it's a concept car as noted.

| Agreed, +1 for G7. Im begging for awd from gm. There are so many advantages and they already make awd gtos in australia. Geez when in the hell will we finally get a 300+ horspower car with Hids and navigation and all wheel drive? thats everything you need and will compete with almost anything. Oh yea i mean in America.....
but im not digging the veriticle styling it needs to be very rebadged. This looks like if it was refined and worked over a little, it could compete with the Audi A5 and the BMW 6 series |

| Well, as far as AWD and 300hp, that can be achieved with the 2008 CTS.
But I understand and agree with your opinion... there definitely needs to be more options for cars with AWD from GM.
They have AWD SUVs and crossovers covered pretty good though, and I think the 2008 CTS having AWD available is a sign of more AWD cars to come.

| You will see many vehicle from Opel come over. From what ive have seen at work the next vehicle to come over will be the Corsa though. But who knows when that will be (and things can change). The Astra wont hit floors till December as it is, b/c all the cars are being made and shipped from Germany. |

| By this fall, we'll have 4 Opels here at Saturn:
Saturn Sky = Opel GT Roadster
Saturn Aura = Opel Vecrta
2008 Saturn Vue = Opel Antara
2008 Saturn Astra = Opel Astra
I think the Opel Corsa should come over too, and it may as another Saturn.
This Opel GTC concept would fit better in the Pontiac lineup IMO.

| It would fit the lineup seeing as how Pontic is going for the "Sports" car division of GM or whatever they want it to be known for. If this car was in production and being put out by Holden, then I would say Pontiac would get it.
Back to the Corsa real quick. From what I read and has been said at the meetings the corse will be here, but probably 2010. The Springhill factory will probably be used for the Astra and Corsa by that time. |
