Default Why is it called l98?

We already have the L98 in the 3rd gens, being the 350 TPI. I know, my 91 had that lol. Now, I also know the LT1 was around, but that was something more like LT-1. So is their way of getting around having the same engine name, lowercasing the L, changing it from L98 to l98?

Just seems too soon to resurrect imo :\ I miss the real L98.

Its just an RPO. And it was available. Just like LS6(early 70's), LS6(late 70's), and LS6(early-mid 00's)...all different engines. 454, 2.5L 4cyl, and 346, respectively.

They are constantly reusing old RPO's. "L" is what the engine RPO starts with.
