Default New Pontiac - Car and Driver article

Looks like there may be a new Firebird or GTO.

For you Pontiac fans:

I hope they don't bring back the GTO. GM has already killed it trying to bring it back in 04-06. Those GTOs looked like streched out z24s!

The GTO just had its turn. It's time to bring back the Firebird. Although, it'd be cool to see a GTO option on the new G8 (much like GTO was a Lemans package).

Looks like the new camaro to me. And its looks like the G8 is going to weigh more than the GTO. Weight already kills the goat. I wouldn't even think about getting a G8 that weighs more and creates less HP.

For as well as the Fiero sold, I'm surprised they cut production, it was the stupid market company GM hired, who expected Fireo sales to slip. And even when the Fiero sold more than expected that last year, they still effing cut it.

For as much as Pontiac/Saturn charges for their little roadsters, they might as well have been mid engined

I would prefer that as well. I'd like to see GM sell a G8 coupe called the G8 GTO or something along those lines. I want a muscle car with a real backseat and some nice features.

That sounds like a good idea and kind of keeping with the history of the GTO idea and name.

defenatly a G8 performance package! Id like to see the intermediate muscle cars take only a mild retro appearance(wheels, minor body, badging). Coarse If Pontiac does a G8 GTO then Chevy should do a Chevelle and same for Buick with a GSX.
