| Yea, I posted about this in another thread here. We're getting the UTE and a G8 Wagon.

| GM officially canned the G8 Sportwagon plan a few weeks ago. The Ute (G8 ST) is still a go. |

| Canning the wagon and keeping this is a HUGE mistake for GM. How can they justify adding this to their line up??

I don't understand, the amount of $$$ to bring the sportwagon over is miniscule, its already in production. MB, BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Saab have sold wagons here for years and made money despite it being an unpopular body style.

The artificial wood grain makes for poor tactile grip (which may cause me to veer into another lane, but I digress; ) it is appealing to the eye.
My apologies. | |

| So what's the other GM unibody truck that they're speaking of in the article?

| I didn't read it, but the Colorado maybe? Doubt it, I can't see that being unibody, but who knows to save weight and MPG...
I wasn't aware of them canning the Wagon, that's silly. It actually (the Holden) looks nice IMO.

| Id be interested to see the Colorado moved to a unibody frame.
Ive read some stories from down under that Holden is pissed that GM cancelled the wagon for the US. Thats apparently the only reason that they went ahead with the development of it.
Also how hard would it be for Holden to make 2k wagons for the US? Im sure they would sell that many and itll make for an interesting test fleet. Im highly disappointed that they arent importing it. Would make a great car for the future wife.

Whatever the reason, it's a huge missed opportunity for GM IMO. |

| I did this when my friend found out the UTE was coming over. I don't know how long this pic will be up as my hoster is changing providers. Any rate it's good for now and I'll update if things change.
I couldn't find a gray Ute :\

I couldn't find a gray Ute :\ | The color difference shows how easily it is to make it a "Pontiac".
I'm sad to hear the wagon got canned too. That would make a cool car for my gf, and something that I wouldn't mind driving.

It's identical to the G8 sedan with a tray in place of the backseat and trunk. |
