Default Another Solstice Rip Off?

Some of you might remember my other post about the Ferrari that looks much like the solstice, well now Alfa Romero decided to do it as well. I thought maybe GM bought Alfa, but they didn't, there were talks of it though. Take a peak:

Im sorry, but even IF Alfa Romeo decided to take some cues from the Solstice... They made a much better looking car. I like the looks of the Solstice Coupe... but this Alfa is drop-dead gorgeous. It looks like they also took a step in the right direction by putting in a 450hp American V8 under the hood... Im guessing an LS3 or some other 6.0+ LSx motor?? (Pontiac dropped the ball on that one, i think. And yes, i know that a V8 might not be what the Spirit of the car is about... but come on) I cant think of any other motors small enough to fit in a car like that. That car is hot.

Just because GM has had the Solstice, doesn't mean it's original to the idea of a small rwd coupe. Essentially, the Solstice is GM going after the entry-level Porsche market.

ENTRY LEVEL WHAT?

My old mind remembers the MAZDA being the mfg. that brought back a small front engine RWD vehicle.

Isn't the Solstice little more than an OPEL SPEEDSTER?

The Opel Speedster shares the same platform as the Solstice and Sky, but the Solstice Concept debuted first. Opel is also owned by GM, which I'm sure you are away of.

TransAm11973 is basically a troll, just look at his posts. 85% are flames.

Anyways, yea it does look more like the Tuscan heh That's pretty good.

and Mystic, you're right. They did do more things right than GM did, like the V8 and the like Wonder how much more an LSx weighs over an Eco2.0T. Heck I'd be happy if they put the 3.8 Supercharged in it!

Before the Solstice or Sky were cars I thought I went to OPEL's web page and pulled specifications on the Speedster. Similar in more than platform try engine, brakes, gear rations, wt. Very close to being Cloned in my opinion.

Similar but I errored. The Opel GT has a long history but I am the only one talking about Opels.

2/1/06 Opel released a statement announcing the OPEL GT was returning. Is that before or after the Solstice? One engine is offered a turbocharged 260 hp.

So I doubt the gears and brakes are the same as the 4 banger.

Opel GT is built in USA:
"The Opel roadster will be built at the Wilmington/Delaware plant in the USA, where its highly successful American GM sister models, the Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky, are also produced."

It looks nothing like the solstice.. Might as well go and say they stole from Honda's S2000 and BMW's Z4... Just because it's a small car doesn't mean they stole something from another small car..

That Alfa has to be one of the most beautiful cars i have ever seen. The convertible is just as nice. They are only making 500 worldwide and only 80 are coming here for about $250,000!

+1...

Anyway, all cars hae four wheels, a cabin, headlights, a grille... we've been making them for hundreds of years people. Some are going to look like others.

i thought the speedsteers were significantly lighter than the solstice, doesnt it only weigh like 2100 lbs, while the solstice weighs nearly 3000 lbs. that weight is significant in performance aspects.
