George,

Go to these guys for a wider quarter panel (1 1/2" wider). http://www.gtscustoms.com/

Greg at GTS builds nothing but hybrid Corvettes and Really knows his stuff. You will see my grey '67 on the website and also on the CarCreations website http://www.newmancarcreations.com/ . I have a ton of info about what you want to do so PM me anytime. I got a 5 page feature in HotRod back in Aug. '05 just to give you an idea. The wider quarterpanel I spoke of is very subtle and it allowed me to run a 10" wheel in the back with a 275/35/18 tire. I could go on and on, but feel free to ask all the questions you want!

What nice about this vette rod is that it will out run a big block and get 30 mpg. And ride like a cadillac.
I was thinking a bout a BB but I decided to go with the LS1.

I paid a 1000.00 for the birdcage which is in good condition and the rear clip along with a set of 1966 BB brake calipes, BB front and back sway bars. BB 4 drums, and some other BB stuff. I felt I got a pretty good deal. I just got a lot of work to do now.

Big block or not, I think it should have a 4sp or 6spd, autos dont belong in Corvettes in my opinion. But it will still be damn nice.

I cant wait to see what she looks like when youre done. My dad and I rebuilt a 67 small block, but we went all original. I'd like to do one with all the mods.
