Got this from a new CNN article.

Quote:
Laboratory testing showed the new virus was treatable by the anti-flu drugs Tamiflu and Relenza, and the first shipments from a federal stockpile arrived Wednesday in New York City and several other locations. The government was shipping to states enough medication to treat 11 million people as a precaution. All states should get their share by May 3.

No shortages had been reported — there was plenty in regular pharmacies, federal health officials said.

The world has no vaccine to prevent infection but U.S. health officials aim to have a key ingredient for one ready in early May, the big step that vaccine manufacturers are awaiting. But even if the WHO ordered up emergency vaccine supplies — and that decision hasn't been made yet — it would take at least two more months to produce the initial shots needed for human safety testing.
Atleast there is a treatment now that works, and soon hopefully something to counter act this new virus just like the rest.

a couple of summers ago, i doin some research for the health dept. i was working with some cracked out old lady. she was telling me how she expected a flu epidemic to wipe out half the population. so i thought she was talking about the US, apparently she was talking about the entire population of the world. at the moment, i decided i had to get the hell out of there.

I have too many other important things to worry about rather than the swine flu. For instance, Do I want coors lite or natural lite, 12 pack or case, cans or bottles, etc....

But really like the president said, wash your hands, cover your mouth when you cough, and don't go to work if your sick. Sounds like a hell of an excuse to lay out of work though. Most flu's are only deadly to the young children and elderly (even common flu.) Besides your more likely to be stabbed by a mexican than killed by their flu. lol

I found this interesting.

The makers of Tamiflu predicted a 531% increase in sales for 2009.

^^^World map of cases both confirmed and unconfirmed, people in quarentine, and people dead.

Pretty obvious its only a matter of time till its a declared pandemic.

Biological diseases, plagues are all very scary. It took out the entire Myan popupulation, Rocked Europue many times in History, etc... etc... It probably will happen again.

This Swine shit isn't going to do anything, but future ones could wipe out millions, it's really no joke. This swine is a teaser for sure though.

This is just a bunch of BS. Nothing serious here, move along. Like said if they would get all the f'n illegals out of the US and block the border this shit wouldn't be happening. Bunch of Dumbshits in the white house let this go on.

The news will keep on running with this truck load of BS so that the world will panic and go out and buy this new vaccine, and all these respirators or whatever. Just live your day like you normally would this shit will blow over.
