I was looking at a Yugoslavian SKS and also a Saiga AK, but there are things I dont like at all about both on them. First with the SKS, ive read all over the place that any magazines that arent the stock 10 rd will jam. I like the everything about the Saiga except that there is not handle where the trigger is like other AK's. Any other suggestions on what I should look at similar to the Romanian AK-47

I have never heard the assault weapons ban called the semiautomatic assault weapon ban before, only AWB. You would be surprised to hear that some people know this information and don't go around researching things just for the sake of arguing in a forum.
