Find the longest steepist hill you can find, set the car in first gear on the transmission and floor it and don't let off. Spin that bitch until it pops!!

If that doesn't work, repeat step 1 and then proceed to hit the nitrous and it will pop for sure..

just take it out and try to sell it to someone looking for one to rebuild. i wouldnt risk damaging any parts i needed for my new engine. but i would beat the piss out of it a couple times before i took it out.

how exactly would the car burn to the ground? i have an agreed value of $10,000 with all of the shit i put into it, so i don't exactly care. Once the new motor goes in i am going to ask that to be $15k. I bet my rates are gonna go way up.

I decided how im gonna do it though. I'm going to carlisle and blowing it up at the burnout competition. I have a set of brand new snow Firestone Winterforce snow tires on 15" rims from a 2.8L camaro. They last forever, should make for a great show

I'd say the best way to blow a motor is to hop in a ford.

Speaking of fords, here is a piece of shit 2.9L ranger we blew up 2 years ago. It was fun! We bought the truck for 200 bucks and it ran fine, but the water pump went and i didnt notice the temp gauge was pegged. Blew head gasket and eventually spun bearing with coolant in the oil. Was still running when we drove it to the junkyard. I literally could not break it

If you have never raced or watched a bunch of races in person.. a piece of debris could trash a fuel line when it explodes and then the bastard is in flames and the car is gone. Watched it happen many a time in dirt track racing and drag racing, it is very common. Not to mention if you do use nitrous a backfire could take out the hood or burn the car down... anybody remember the Pinks GTO?

If you are really determined to blow it, it is pretty simple.... just ask how to fix engine knock in the internal engine section on ls1.com. You will get lots of practical well thought out good ideas

Stop on a hill, let it cost backwards with the clutch pushed in, tach it up in the 6k range, then dump the clutch.

He's trying to take out the motor, not the whole driveline!

How about running the fuel mixture very lean, dump some jet fuel in the tank or then run nitrous, floor it, over rev it and duck for cover....Heads and pistons should go flying..... Kaaabooooom...

I don't know what is worse.

1) A guy asking how to blow up his motor, when he could be making money to fund his new project by parting it out.

or..

2) People giving him suggestions on how to blow his motor.

I say remove the limiter, or at least bump it to 8000rpm, and then see how long the rod bolts last. At least it will have some scientific merrit for the posts asking how high can you safely turn a stock shortblock.

Whatever you do, take video.

You can do what I did with my old ticking LT1. I put a 100 shot on it. That was so much damn fun spraying the shit outta that car. I busted some ass to with that exhaust leaking, ticking sum beach. I'm telling you, you would have so much more fun if you put some nitrous on it. Nothing to big but like a 150 or a 200 if you would like. You could just beat it up alot more with a lower shot and have more fun.
