It's usually some retard that thinks he knows alot about cars but looks like a Jackass when he cant figure it out. I had a guy come up and talk to me and set his can of soda on the rear decklid of my car and i flipped shit, he called me a dick head and walked off, I try to avoid touching the paint and when some ass hole sets a can on there i get pissed.

I was a construction superintendent, and drove my DD Jeep Wrangler. Guys used to always set thier books, plans, tacos, whatever on my hood. Even though it's a Jeep and very rarely clean, stay the flock off the paint!

If I spend money on something I like to keep it nice. I don't even like lending out my tools, because they'll come back dirty. Oh, well.

I think that some of you guys may be a little sensitive. Its not that big of a deal. Repeat after me, "Its just a car."

Now, if they start poking around under the hood I might get alittle nervous. Then again, Everything under there is pretty secure so I doubt they would pry anything loose unless they intended to do so.

None the less, I will agree it works out better for everyone involved if people look but don't touch. That is my policy with other people's cars.

I hate when people are circling around my car when I am not there. I leave my cars in the parking lot at work and two guys were circling around my camaro, I have a few valuable things in there and it makes me nervous. They ended up telling me they had a nice door off a wrecked SS that would fix mine but still.

I am a little more lenient with the T/A because there isn't anything in there but when people start leaning in the windows and touching or moving things I get nervous. I still have my GPS and insurance card in the glove box. Not to mention all the trim and screws I don't want bent or falling through the floor.

I really don't mind if I'm at a show or something, people leaning in the windows. Under the hood kinda makes me sweat. All they have to do is poke a hole in the 90* elbow on the throttle body and you have a boost leak, or pull/nick/cut a line on the PCV and under boost you're pressurising the crank case.

You get you're tools back after you lend them out? Since I got my new shocks and springs now everyone feels like they need to "test it out" by putting their big greasy hands on my spoiler or hood and pushing down on it over and over.

I fuckin hate people trying to open my hood.

It pisses me off even more when they lean on it and set something on it. Hell, I get mad when my gf sets something on the trunk of HER own car lol.

I feel the same way but usually the only people that try to open my hood are my friends which I don't mind because almost all of them know how to open a hood within 5 seconds and not feel around or look underneath for a minute just trying to figure out how the damn thing opens. Now when it comes to paint....whew....if anyone!!!!......and I mean anyone sets their shit on my car whether it be a body a digit, a hand leg, butt, whatever I flip. I guess having a 3k paint job doesn't help it out at all

Whenever I go to a fast food place and I see someone leaning against my car I set my alarm off. It scares the shit out of them and I get a good laugh.

Yea that irritates me too. I wouldnt mind so much if someone did it without leaving prints all over the hood, but that will never happen. I hate it also when friends close the door by pushing on the window, leaving their grease all over it, or when someone just feels like stroking my car with their dirty paws

It seems like every time i just get finished washing or waxing my car, someone will lean up against it and put greasy finger prints all over it, never happens when its dirty though. The worst time ever was when i just got the hood repainted on my old 85 grand national, and this girl JUMPED and sat right on the hood. I was extremely pissed lol.

And yes someone else trying to open my hood bothers me, they usually never figure it out anyway so I tell them to get out of the way

I totally agree... if you don't mind people fondling your hard earned... cool. But I hate it when people just ASSUME they can touch your swizzle...

Is it OK to walk right into someone's house just because they open the door when you ring the bell???

Like someone mentioned before, usually the ones opening my hood are friends. But I had some guy lean up on my car once, I was told them WTF are you doing! Get off my car! He was pretty startled.
