Hmm so if had quieter exhaust could hear the turbos better. Have to try that with another car.
In prostreet there is a littleburnoutmini game before the actual tree counts you down, there is a reaction time and soon as you pass the 1/4 mile it displays your E/T and MPH. IMO by far the best feature of that game.

Used they are like 14.99, definitaly worth it even if it is just for drag

all you guys talking about the turbos being quiet are nuts... I have an 800-something horsepower TT trans-am and those turbos sound like vacuum cleaners under power, with the BOV even louder. you need the race turbos for loud turbo sound.

and I made the coolest thing last night. 799 hp/ 997lb-ft TT V12 diesel. runs 11.70 in the 1/4. weighs 5,862 lbs. I want to see what happens when someone tries getting into a tangle with it. lol.

well after much testing, I concluded that tire pressure makes no difference at all, as long as its 30psi or less. In forza 2, 23psi was always the hot ticket for me, but in this game I can't notice a difference.

my recommendations:

switch your gearing to 2.48/1.48/1.00
play with your rear gear until you have it revving out in 3rd at the finish line.

take a lot out of your front springs, and all of your front swaybar. set shocks up around 1.2 7 10.8 7

set your differential to 100% all around

after that its all about the art of pedaling.

It seems like the only way to hook is with AWD. I believe the GT500 has an AWD conversion if I remember correctly. That might be the ticket for a fast drag car.

And about Prostreet. That game is awesome for drag racing. The times are horribly inaccurate, as well as the MPH. That game was a lot of fun. All Forza had to do is give us a sticky track, and post up the ET's as you pass the finish line. It doesn't seem like that would take any effort at all.

Oh well... the road racing in this game is top notch. Only thing I can complain about there is that the AI still sucks. Its a pain to try and pass the computer up, because the AI is not smart enough to realise you are there, and the AI will just ram you. Instead of passing cars, I just pit manuever them.

My '02 T/A is making around 630hp with the Twin Turbo's and has everything else done and the best I'm running so far on the racing compound tires with 305/35/17's was a 12.56 and I think it's trapping around 130mph. I recently picked up a ZR1 last night and just did intake and exhaust but still have yet to race it.

I ran a 9.94 as a best with the GT500 Awd swap in S-class. its too heavy, need something lighter to get the real good times. I bought that gay looking datsun 510, and I'm running 9.32 with it.

Thats funny. A Datsun 510 would be one of my favorite cars to do a motor swap into if I ever had the time/money.

I think the AI commits to their line, and doesn't want to be pushed off it, I've seen the AI make mistakes too, especially when pushed for a while. If you just try to drive under them, they will turn down on you for sure.

I just noticed this in the drag racing (it may have been said before,) the "percent completed" while racing doesn't start when you start moving. It starts just passed the tree, so that's a good second added to your time. I don't know why they did that, hopefully they can correct some of this stuff through DLC though I doubt it.

I got the Ford fiesta. I figured they were all turds and didn't matter much which one you choose. I only used it a few races and now I have my T/A. By the way, does anyone have anything I can start with on tuning the suspension. I know I have 6XX Hp and those turns come up pretty quick, and I usually slide through the turns. Every thing I change doesn't seem to do anything or makes it worse.
