EDIT : I'm not understanding something here, I put in my disc one and then it told me about disc 2 having the extra features so I put that in. When I put that in, it instantly came up with "Please Insert Disc One". So, I obviously switch again and I get the same thing about the extra cars and maps. I switch them again and install disc 2 to my hard drive. THEN I switched back to disc one and I got the same message!! WTF do I do?
(p.s. I know I'm an idiot for this but oh well.)
What? That's strange... It's supposed to tell you to switch back to disc one the first time you put disc two in (which is after the first time you put disc one in), but not instantly... IIRC, it's supposed to be a 5 minute install or so?

Did you install the first disc, then open the game and wait for it to tell you to install disc two? Or did you try to install disc two from the Xbox main screen?
Are you playing with FULL damage? There are two settings for damage.
If so, yes, your tranny incurs damage. Tranny damage results in prolonged shifts, something you might not be noticing since you're focusing on the clutch when you clutch shift it?
I play drag racing with 100% bonus difficulty, the rest at 95% (clutch is gay without a wheel, pedals and six speed on road courses.)
when I drag I never lift off the trigger during shifts and it incurs no transmission damage. as long as you press the clutch you are good.

And on a road course?

no autobrake
no racing line
no stm
no tcs
no abs
manual w/o clutch (like I said, its gay without the wheel, 6spd, and clutch pedal setup)
medium or hard difficulty computer, depending on what driving mood I'm in.
Yeah I always use the clutch when I shift and not let off the gas, I think that's where we got mixed up. So as long as you let off the gas you don't need to use the clutch?
I always use the clutch on road courses, just press both buttons at the same time, it's no issue at all for me.

Damage is set to simulation on mine, and I can power shift without damaging the trans.
Why is it that in some of the race cars the gauge cluster doesn't work? That's annoying, I like the interior view when I'm racing cars like that..
And BTW, how do you change the percentage of how much you can see in the interior view? I've heard of people doing that and it would help me a lot in some races.
For whoever had the disc one/disc two problem.. I did the same thing. I put in disc two on the Xbox guide screen as soon as I opened my case. Go into the game with Disc 1, there should be a button somewhere on one of the menu's to install disc 2. Open your tray RIGHT THERE, don't go to the dashboard. Then insert disc 2 and close the tray. An install screen should come up.
Is there a way to actually see the times they ran?
All I can see is like 5 hours and shit.
I want a list of the fastest 1/4 RWD cars!
Kinda wondering where I am, I've got 10.527 in the Z06, and one more 10.5xx run...but its hard to be consistent, normally its in the 10.7 - 10.8 range.
I play drag with everything off and manual no clutch with high powered cars, my TT car doesn't like powershifts at WOT, if I was lucky enough to get off the line with almost no spinning and through first gear, it'll just blow em away as soon as I powershift.
However, I think manual with clutch is faster for mild/slow cars.
My IROC had stock power but otherwise full upgrades ran a 14.5 with no clutch, and a 14.1 with clutch + powershift...
for the leaderboards they are only ranked by PI index and track. so you can see what the fastest time is for each PI class at each track, but that is it. no filter to see for RWD that I can find. add it to the list of broken $#!+ that turn 10 needs to fix.
but it took me a while to figure out that you can press A at the leaderboards to go into them further.
so go to the leaderboards, go to drag, press a, pick class, press a, etc. then you can see the best in each category.
and on the shifting with or without a clutch. clutch is ALWAYS FASTER from every pass I have ever seen.
