Alright, time for this to stop! Syclones and Typhoons being C4C'd
Ok, I was halfway fine with the "cars" program that our wonderful president came up with. I read through the list of available cars and yeah, some would be sad to see go.. Some like turbo mk3 supras, any rx7, ls1 and lt1 cars. I read specifically somewhere where this shit would not include "rare" or "low volume" cars, and I specifically remember the Buick Grand National as an example of one of those cars.. Fair enough, until I see this picture!
This almost makes me cry...

There is a reason why they call it Victory Red...
Makes the ones that other people have even more valuable. It's not any different than someone driving one and hitting a tree and totaling it. It's not going to affect my every day life as I know it.

^ not to mention it looks like it wasnt takin care of at all.....
To this person it was a vehicle. Designed to get from one place to another. Nothing more, nothing less. If everyone was a car enthusiast, all of our cars would have the same value, thus diminishing the value of being a car enthusiast.

oops i guess i missed the other thread. i saw it on cz28. it's still disgusting. as bad as seeing LT1 fbodies being junked, they made 10-20k a year of those, IIRC there were only 2500 syclones made in 1991, their only year of production, and less than 5000 typhoons made between 1992 and 1993.
I'm sure the owner of that black syclone could have put it on ebay with a BIN of $5000 and easily sold it and made $500 more than the CFC gave him and the truck would not be turned into scrap. same with the typhoon although they are a little less rare and that one appears to have some rust.

are 93 cobras considered rare? Last time i checked they were. IIRC they made 4997 93 cobras and i'm pretty sure they made less than that in 92-93 typhoons.

And here I was getting rhiled up at all the GT40-P top ends on clunked Explorers. Someone will find it at the scrapper and pillage all the good stuff from it. Sucks, but what are you going to do?

Makes sense... Some people just don't get this... Let them whine.

i know someone who has one now and he said his was appraised for ~ 20k and it's not mint. it's nice but not perfect. that syclone pictured above doesn't look bad at all.
I just checked autotrader and the CHEAPEST Syclone on there is $10,999. There are only 13 for sale across the entire country.
i was mad when i saw they where crushing FC on rx7 club (even though they are NA S4's)...
this is just stupid, i can see the TY being traded in because it is neglected, but that SY looks very clean to me
i would have gladly paid that SY owner 6k for his "clunker"
NNNNOOOOO!!!!! That is sad. Even the neglected Typhoon would have got more than $4500. I've seen ugly ass run down ones go for $6k. That Syclone looks clean enough to eat off of. Stupid fuckers. Unless the front end of that FC is completely screwed it would have made a nice swap car.
Wish there was a cash for clunkers auction you could attend. I can't believe that Syclone. How could you own such a vehicle and not know its worth?

those cars in the dumpsters are just junkers they get to symbalize clunkers. i've seen 2 different cars in the bins posted that don't qualify. one was a ~ 1974 4 door chevy nova and the other was a 4 door ~ 1990 toyota corolla. one is too old, the other gets too good mpg.
