Default Got Busted!!!

Well tonight my roommate and I were on our way home, we were stopped at one of the last stoplights before our house when this nice dodge cummins pulled up beside me taunting me. The light turns green and I here his turbo spool up pretty loud. We were even through 1st and he pulled slightly in 2nd but I managed to barely get ahead about 60 before slowing for a car in my lane. I looked in the mirror and sure enough the heart sinking sight of blue lights. The Cummins was long gone so I pull over and he calmly asked for all my information. He noticed I just got the car a few months ago and even gave me a compliment about it...along with a ticket for street racing. My record is clean and I went to church with the judge in the past so maybe I wont need the lube in court. Thats what I get for being a dumbass

You raced a truck?????????

Man, one thing I certainly never do....race when its a waste of gas.

Here in Florida I'm pretty sure the cop can have your car towed for street racing....and you will never see it again.

Trucks aren't a waste of gas!!
Nice run, I'd be nice to live in a small town like you do!

Around here we have FAST diesels...our local drag strip has diesel shoot-outs a few times a year. There are several quad cab 4x4 trucks that look normal but run mid 12's in the 1/4. This one guy in a mid 90's ford powerstroke managed to run 11.3 and still drives it home after the races. A custom tune on newer diesels is good for 200+ hp not to mention the insane tq numbers

This is for you to insert your foot into your mouth. This is a local truck and not the only one that will do similar.

I've seen about 6 fast diesels in tn alone... Only been beat by one and that's because I haven't raced them all.

to the op, you were set up(truck was probably a cop). The truck would've definitely been easier to catch since they have handling issues. Try to be more careful next time. (i.e. try not to race unless you're familiar with the opponent and environment).

Most of my friends with trucks (gas not diesel) run low 11's and a few run in the high 10's. Most of them you wouldn't expect to put a beating on you but they sure make you look bad after you lose to one!!

Maybe there's a chance in hell the judge will be in a good mood...I will literally pay his wife to suck his dick the night before my court date, maybe see him in church and offer to do his xmas lights and yard work this fall.

I have a big wish list of mods for my car that I'm starting to reconsider

I'm talking about wasting MY gas, not the trucks gas. Especially if your in the city...thats a no-no for any kind of racing.

I haven't had my car that long and the guy was nagging me. I know I shouldn't have but I guess my ego got the best of me.

I know that's what you meant!! There are alot of trucks out there that will put a hurting on F-bodies, Fox bodies, etc...
My last truck could handle itself nicely against most anything and my current truck should do more of the same!

Obviously there's fast trucks out there....but I would never waste my time racing one, because 99.99999% of them are slow dogs like trucks are. Not worth the risk to waste my time.

Now, if someone had a badass truck, like my friends 790 RWHP Ford Lightning....we'll take them somewhere away from traffic and run'em.

But it is kind of hard sometimes to ignore when someone revs at you. Alot of times if I am in the city, I'll stab it for like 1-2 seconds but thats about it. Most of the time after that they leave me alone.

I know a few people who have badass trucks. Couple Syclones and a Lightning..they're no joke.

There's just alot of total cheeseballs around here that think their pick up trucks are fast. Why...I have no idea. So its not worth the bother. BUt if I know its for real, I'll try to get them out on a clear highway or something to run'em.

Yup, its hard to fight the urge sometimes.

A guy the other day in a new day-glo green Charger was trying to get me to race him from a light. He pulled up with his window down and his music cranking and pointed at the light giving me the head nod. I was like, "naw man". There was literally 10 cars at every light, busy as hell traffic. So the light turns green and he hauls ass up to like 45 mph, I think he even got one to make a churp sound when he took off There's not a car in sight in front of us. So I just slowly get up to about 45-50 a when we get even he nails it again and takes off....so I immeditely stomped it too for about 2-3 full seconds. That was enough to catch him and put 3-4 cars on him and get me to like 70mph. He stayed back there and never pulled even again for like 3 miles. Dumbass who bought a car that the salesman probably told him will beat everything on the streets. Dork!!!
I'm sure the sound of pure evil that my car makes when I stomp the gas probably raised his eyebrows a little bit too.

The city streets type of racing will get you in trouble one day when you can't "stop"....going fast is the easy part.....grandma pulls out in front of you or someone changes lanes real fast and BAM! Be careful.

My truck isn't that fast b/c it weigh's 11,000 lbs. but it does runin the low 17's. It's a 04 C4500 Chevy and all I have is a Bully Dog and a 4" exhaust. I use it to pull mine and my wifes 10 second bracket cars to the track.
