My GF said if I ever got a fox, she wouldn't ride in it with me...she can't stand them. LOL

Foxes are great cars. Super cheap, parts aplenty, good looks (imo).

Your first mod on them should definitely be bagging the e7 junk heads and putting on at least GT40s or AFRs. The factory cam is pretty big for a stocker, so that actually can make some good power. The factory HO intakes are pretty restrictive too. The factory block is another roadblock to making big power, they like to crack right down the middle.

Blower/Turbo packages are also plentiful for Foxes, a Vortec + GT40s should net you around 450rwhp, easily enough to blow the thing to high heaven without a good tune.

Most H/C/I packages will net you around ~300rwhp, and with the right suspension/subframes/etc this could get you into the 12s without too much work.

They run quick with a 5 speed and full bolt-on's, gears, tires.... I think there are quite a few in the bottom 13's on factory tires even.... They are just LIGHT..

Swap in a stock LS1 and you pick up a bunch... the 302 has iron heads and block, it is at least a 100 pound weight savings (I can't remember the exact number). Maybe 150... I can't remember... Swap in a molly 9 inch, all molly suspension parts, glass hood, no power options.... yeah you can get them 800-1000 pounds or so lighter then your average LS1 car... drop a second just in weight savings haha.

One guy has a GT with an LS1 with all Molly parts and a cage and it is like 2500 pounds with him in it.... it is not cut up either.

My next build will be a notch with an all aluminum BBC and a lot of weight redution.
