Apparently all non-LSx related topics belong in the Lounge now as opposed to the Multimedia section. So, I thought I'd share some recent pics of my car since I still talk to hundreds of guys here via PM who ask for updates periodically and since there are a lot of guys here that respect '03 Cobras.
My most recent mod was 17x10.5" Chrome '03 replica wheels with some Hoosier 335 drag radials. They look pretty mean in person and they hook on the street better than any drag radial I've run to date. I'll get to the track sometime soon hopefully. If I had to guess, I'd say a 1.4 60' is possible...but you've got to run the number so who knows.
I'm contemplating narrowing the rear end to tuck the wheels in. I have enough $$$ dumped into the solid axle already though that's for sure.
We'll see.
Here are some pics. I'm probably going to spend a few hours tomorrow (Labor Day, ironically enough) hitting it with a Zaino treatment. It needs a serious detail job.
I recognize that bridge, that's in dearborn.

Yes sir, built solid axle...not some bullshit swap out of a stock Mach 1.

Tuck those things in about 2 1/2 cunt hairs and she's gonna be sick(er).
I hear ya Josh. I'm on the fence though. I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.

I'm not too worried about trap speed as long as the ET is there.

That's got to be a blast to drive!
They actually fit in the wheel well like a glove because of the IRS. There are a lot of guys with Cobras that are running a 335 on a 10.5" wheel...so many in fact that I didn't even consider that they may not fit. There is definitely a little bulge to them, but nothing crazy IMO.

damn i had been asking people if they ever ran 335/30/18 hoosier drag radials on 10.5 wheels and they said not to do it so i listened. now when i get some extra money again im going to pick up a new set of 18x10.5 wheels and the drag radials.
thanks for posting this up helped me alot because i did not want to run anything smaller than a 335 lol
That second pic is killer. Your in Michigan right? Your car makes me want a 03/04 Cobra to add to my driveway.
Yes sir. You used to be in Michigan right? I'm the opposite...I have a
'03 Cobra, now it's time for a blown C6 convertible.

They actually look better in person IMO. The pics make them look like
the stick out more than they do.

Thanks. They some big boys that's for sure. I could fit a 345 back there
if I had a wider wheel, but we all know that it's tire compound combined
with tire height is where traction is found.

That is the shit man!! What is the offset on those wheels?
I have 10.5 FR500's with a deep dish lip, running 315's, and I had an issue with the passenger side rubbing against the tail pipe! I figured it must have something to do with the offset of the rim, what's your take on that?
