Default Detailed: 1991 Cadillac Brougham

I just got her back from the detail shop. He did a high speed buff of the paint, said he used two different compounds to get the swirls out, then a coat of wax. Wish I had a buffer and the skills to do it myself, but I really didn't want to learn by burning through the paint.

He also removed the ugly gold pin stripe that was coming off and put on a nice silver one that matches the lower rockers. I think he worked on it about 5 or 6 hours, he didn't polish the chrome though, told him that is something easy for me to do.

Pictures were taken around dusk at the Parthenon in Nashville(yes its a to scale replica of the one in Athens). I got the car back late today, so pictures in the full sun will have to wait a while.

The paint looks amazing, its never had this much depth or clarity in the entire time I've owned the car. A lot of the "trash" in the clearcoat is simply gone:cool2:

To be honest I love the car, it looks great. Does it belong in this forum? Heck no.

Bad ass car, and yes it belongs in the detailing thread. If we can ooh and aah over Ferrari's and Supra's in here, a clean Cadillac fits in just fine.

That thing is pimp.

Someone call the WAAAAAmbulance. There's a shitload of things that don't even belong on this forum, and nobody complains.

Nice Caddy. I got a 90 oldsmobile 88 royal brougham I drive for a daily. It drives so smooth compared to the camaro.

Are you talking about those American flags like they have on the Presidential limo, the ones that go on the front fenders??? That would be cool, but I don't want to have to drill in the car.

I didn't take any interior shots that day, but here's an old picture of the front leather "sofa". This car has the D'Elegance package, which netted you those button tufted seats, D'Elegance badging, and a few other options I can't remember.

looks very comfortable. I use to drive my pops 89 continental and I would not drive it to late for fear of falling asleep at the wheel lol. Makes my TA feel like roller coaster seat

Gorgeous Caddy...love the interior in these cars.

My buddy had a similar one back in the day. We cruised for hours in that thing...classic look.

Well done...

I can't believe no one said this yet, but I bet those wheels were a pain to clean!

while the job done at hand is fine and all that good shit.... do we really need to have a thread for everytime someone washes their car?! seriously, like EVERY time a car gets detailed, peoples finger flies to the New Thread button and bam... stuck with another "hey guys washed the car, check it out and leave comments" this shit needs to get under control, it's annoying, not even LSX related by a mile. i just washed my ass today.... you dont see me making a thread about it...
