I just got back from a week in Calgary visiting a friend of the female persuasion. We spent two days in Banff, which is a small mountain town in Banff National Park. Here are a few select pictures from my trip.
Downtown Calgary
The view looking down the main street in Banff
Taken from the same spot as the previous pic looking in a different direction
Awesome sign after getting off the gondola at the top of one of the smaller mountains
The mountain behind our hotel
View from the weather station on top of one of the mountains
View of Banff from the weather station
Some more from that weather station
Moraine Lake way up in the mountains (glacier-fed lake)
This pic shows the color of the water at Moraine Lake better
A cool glacier near Moraine Lake
Another cool glacier
Cool mountain
Our private hot tub on our large, private balcony in the Presidential Suite
The view from our hot tub. I was in it most of the night and then again first thing in the morning.
These white-tail deer were just wandering around the streets of town
We did a lot more than just Banff while I was there, but I thought these were some cool pictures. My first time to the Rockies (and first real trip to Canada, as well).
