My max bid was $33.29 in which I won with that exact bid. The seller had no history and the person bidding with me had no history in the last 30 days and only an 11 rating. It all seemed pretty odd.
I've ran into people in the past who were selling numerous items and using a friend or another account to bid up their items. The same bidder would ge bidding on all of them.
Basically I'm trying to find out if I was screwed. I have no issue paying my max bid but do have a problem if I were hustled. I'm confused on how I could have been bid to my max without them outbidding me? In the past I was usually outbid and then offered a "second chance."

*No matter what I do, I'm still stuck with a 2v
That's an old ebay trick. Hell, I'm guilty of it, I have two accounts. I don't sell much anymore. My reasoning was so I could list an item at a low starting bid and not pay ebay a fortune to list. But if your not carefull you'll win your own item. I'm not sayn that's what happened to you but it's possible. How many bids were there?
it almost looks like it since the other bidder walked the price right up until he saw your max...
Thats what has me so confused. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out where person who was bidding against me is located? With no history on the bidder or seller the only way I can be certain is if the bidder is located in the same area as seller.

Yea that is pretty against the rules. It is called Shill Bidding.
BUT IMO:
They are still volunteering to pay that price by their continuation to bid. Their human instinct is a lot to blame.

There used to be. I believe now you can't even see the bidders full id. I am pretty sure you could see their address back in the day. If you just report it they will look into it. I got into trouble once because someone from the same town as me bid on one of my items and I didn't even know them. Couldn't use ebay for 30 days!!! Fuckers.
Ebay is the biggest bitch in the world. They are very double standard about how they re-enforce rules.
I am been fucked in the ass so many times there I don't sell anymore. Probably done 50.000 or more in business since 1999 and I will never give them another penny. That excludes vehicles sold on ebay.
Avoid that site at all costs....

But AFAIK there is no way to see what your max bid was.
You can't, but the max bid is obviously the one that doesn't increment the minimum $1 higher than the previous and ends with an odd number of cents.
If you really do feel cheated you can always just not pay I guess since sellers can no longer leave negative feedback on buyers to my knowledge. And if the other bidder was legit, the guy's only out 29 cent so his feelings shouldn't be hurt too bad.
You could have been cheated, or someone might have been just bidding at the last second. I do that a lot. Bid in the last 30 seconds or something. If its still beat I might try a few more times in $1 increments if its something I really want. Would suck to not win a bid if the other bidders max was like $1 more.
The one I remember most was some fairly rare 4 barrel intake manifold for my old 2.8l ranger. There were literally like 20 bids from all different people in the last 2 minutes LOL. Was actually pretty fun. I bid like 5 seconds before it ended and won. It's good to have fast internet.
