that is some bs man. i once got pulled over for street racing an invisible car. there were no cars around and i was doing 63 in a 55. he said i was streetracing lol. threatened to throw me in jail and take away my license. luckily i got off with a warning.
now everytime i pass this guy on the highway he points at me. i just point back.

I have been a cop for years and pulled more dead bodies out of cars than what's in your L.D. tenth grade class. So before you ask a dumb ass question like that, maybe you should think about who you may be talking to. I guess I could post up some pictures of fatalities but I'm afraid your mommy wouldn't aprove. The last fatal I saw was a mother and three year old killed from a street race. It was a head on and the mother was thrown through the windshield. The impact actually pulled her out of her shoes. I got in a pursuit with some street racers one night and one of the racers (a 16 year old) hit a tree head on and died. So yes, I have proof but you wouldn't understand what the OTHER side is like. Meaning maybe cops get tired of seeing the results of street racing and pulling dead KIDS out of cars. Have you ever went to bed, closed your eyes, and seen dead people???? Well, have you?

yes, the kid made the choice, but the cop made the choice to push it and further endanger them. they are suposed to be trained to call off a chase if it is going to get someone hurt. its not like the kid was a murderer or just robbed a bank at gun point. he would not have been running for his life if he wasnt chased.

I have a personal story that supports your point of view, but I won't divulge the specifics since i'm sure my friends wouldn't appreciate that.
Cliffs notes: Two of my friends were parked on the side of the road, multiple cop cars pulled up, accused them of participating in a reported street race that supposedly occurred miles away. Their cars were searched illegally. Both cars were impounded and both people arrested. Both were held overnight, one was able to make bail before the county bus arrived but the other was not so lucky, and was shipped to county prison before he was allowed to make bail, despite reassurances to the contrary.
Luckily for them, the father of one of the two was until recently a district DA and the charges were later dropped and the officers put on paid leave pending investigations, only after months of court dates, mountains of paperwork, and the noticeable lack of cooperation from the CS police, which bordered on downright malicious blocking of legal action. Ever since then I've been constantly aware of how much trouble they would have been in if one of them had not been related to the district DA. Those in college station know just how bloodthirsty the police can be in this town.
There were a series of stories on this in The Eagle, which is a local newspaper.

You'd think so but a friend of mine who graduated a few years back constantly seems to get harassed by Arlington cops in his 4.8L silverado, presumably because of the hours he works and the 2/4 drop i guess.
Also one of my friends in the above story drives a jeep, apparently it makes perfect sense that one would be racing an f-body.
I beleive there should be proof of the street racing like a dash board video!!

When I got busted for street racing -sometime between 1968-70 - My car was towed - my ass went to jail.................It was along night

The next time while driving your 300 to 900 hp car on the street and someone revs on you - stop at the next light. Jump out of your car and have a foot race with the other guy.
You think cops have egos? What about folks who race on the street? How much tallent does it take to press your right foot to the floor - use your left foot to move the clutch - move the shifter with your right hand - while your left hand holds the wheel of the car - all in 15 seconds?
Hire a lawer - go to court - be polite to the judge - pay your fine move on
