Highway patrol harassment

I was on my home last night i had a guy trying to race. He was next to me jumping and revving and i was just chilling because it wasnt a good place. Well then he takes off 2 gears and i see cop coming the other way. Well i think ah he got busted. Well the cop pulled us both over for racing and took both of our cars. We have a court date for 18th. I told them we didnt race and said another cop herd us a radioed it in. The 2nd cops said he saw the other guy and not me take off, but the other cop said the 1st time it was both of us and all it was was him revving up. So now i have to go to tow truck lot and get it out. $100 tow fee and yard storage fee. A friend of mine own the tow truck company so im hoping i don't have to pay anything. Im sure im going to get it dropped in court. It just BS

In the 240, I get all kinds of people trying me.. Any time someone pulls up. i slow down and pull off or just drop way under the limit so they get the idea.

I dont fuck around with that shit, keep it on the track.. i'm too old and have too much going for me to fuck it up to show my dick is bigger. Looks like you got screwed on this one man, sorry to hear, hope it works out for ya!

I've been pulled over and harassed way too many times to respect cops like that anymore. "I pulled you over for your tinted windows." "Officer I don't even have tinted windows..." "License and registration." I hope that all goes well for you man

that sucks, what county? collier is pretty bad with that. i saw quite a few people get pulled over and harassed the same way.

Nice title. Hope you are never the victim of a crime.
Good luck in court. You are going to need it as it sounds like you described one of the cops as actually seeing you doing something. Did you? Don't be so sure it will get dismissed outright. The judge would totally have to think the cop was wrong and you were right. Not likely. If it is a criminal violation (is it a misdemeanor or just mandatory civil court appearance??) you better get an attorney and try to get it dropped to a regular traffic violation like 'careless driving' where it is just a fine and points.

Ive never had any problems and am glad for what they do but come on! They 100% never saw me do anything. They saw the other guy take off and not me and they cop said that. They pulled me over with him because they herd us race earlier and the was no race just him revving up.

Yeah I'd definitely get a lawyer man the few hundred bucks might save your ass.

A couple months back I was driving home in my mom's Corolla with my friend going the speed limit, about 45-50 at about 3AM and we're going over a hill around a freeway exit/entrance and I noticed a sheriff pulling some one over on the exit ramp. There was about 4 cars on the other side of the road and I see some guy hanging out a back window and I'm like wtf is that guy doing? He throws a fucking beer bottle at my car and nails it right in the head light, breaks the light and scratched the shit out of the bumper, beer gets all over my windshield and I couldn't see shit and I stopped, flipped a bitch and I drove after them and I'm thinking fuck, I don't want to blow by a cop going 60mph. I slow down and go the speed limit and there's about 5 or 6 cars at the light and I didn't have a damn clue who it was so I pull up to the light and we're looking around I saw a car make a hard right at the light and it was the only car on the street. This guy pulls up to me and said, "hey man those guys threw a fucking bottle at your car and they're right there!" I make a right, and sure enough about 200 feet down the road I see the cop following me and I'm like oh good I'll tell him what happened.

He pulls us over, him and his partner get out and as soon he walked up to my car I said, "Officer those guys going down Warner threw a bottle at my car or something." and he replies, "So what are you trying to do? Chase after them?" and I replied like an idiot, "Actually I'm looking for you guys. Help me out here. They're literally RIGHT there." "All I saw you do was make an illegal right turn. Any of you guys on probation? You guys been drinking or have anything illegal in the car?" "Can you look at the vehicle and see if there's any damage at least?" He turned his light on, didn't move and shined it up and down the car from my window and said, "Nope, how about you guys go on and head home."

Hopefully cops like you more than they like me.

You just got what you deserved. You're not opposed to racing on the street thats obvious by your own statement. You've raced on the street before, and didn't get caught, so just figure it as payback. LOL

The track is a good place to race. But yes i have got into races on the street in passed. I bet that 99% of people on here have got into some sore of a race on the street b4.

I don't think people should be out racing in the streets all the time but yeah we have all done it and honestly a quick rip to show someone up and get them to leave you alone whats the big deal it really sucks that they bagged you when you didn't even do anything i have had some close calls myself and it really got me to pretty much stop messing around but i have my moments anyways good luck man hope things end in your favor.

Are you kidding me? This is America, buddy. We don't think it's okay to be accused and convicted of a crime we didn't commit. It should be painfully obvious that law enforcement will never catch 100% of crime committed. I'm sure it's a very minuscule fraction of that.

One day when you have a family, you will realize that the police are there to protect you. They keep dumb asses from killing innocent families by street racing.

Unfortunately OP, innocent until proven guilty is no more when it come to traffic incidents. The cop said you did it and that is the end of it. I got a ticket for 54 in a 35 because the cop said he never saw my break lights(went from 45 to 35), apparently he has never heard of wind resistance or friction in his life. I had a radar detector at the time and just stopped at a stop sign where the thing went ballistic, I never even came close to the speed limit.

Im no kid im 28! I have never put anyone in harm any time i have even raced someone other then me or other driver. This is ricer land racing through traffic putting everyone in harm! Like i said i dont race on street all the time. Every once in a blue moon someone will roll up or a friend and if he try's me and its a nice hwy with nobody around ill hit it for a few sec and that's it. I just think some people in here are Hippocrates. If you have ever get on it or played with one of your friends its the same thing and if you say you never do it your a lier. I think ive raced maybe 5 cars this whole year on the street. Seeing i put 15k mikes a year on my car this not bad!

I have a few friends that are cops not all are bad and i have never looked own on them! I should of put fuck these cops as topic.

So what would you do if someone pulled up next to you and was trying to race you and and a cop saw it and pulled you both over and took your car saying your racing. What would you say? Oh cops are great! There just doing there job!

Sorry to hear that you got shafted by the police. Definitely get a lawyer. It sounds like you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Don't worry about all the internet babblers.
