i'm still trying to find the Silverado that i want. it's gotta be an LB7 mated to the ZF6 6-speed manual. it's hard to find because there's less that 25000 Duramax's built with the ZF6 behind it. and that's from '01-'07...

Exactly, so you know exactly what he's going through. Chances are the people who have them are not letting them go anytime soon.

He says that most of the trucks he found for resale seem to be either at the 30,000 mark or the 80,000 mark. He thinks they are like that because that's when they are scheduled for major maintanence and people just trade them in before they do that.

The exhaust tip is designed like that to draw cooler air into the exhaust mix when the Diesel Particulate Filter is doing a regen cycle. It gets pretty hot to burn off the particulates, so they had to do something to help cool down the temps coming out of the pipe so people wouldn't get burned or set anything on fire.
