HAHAHA FEAR is their primary motivation I think. I guess we just dont measure up to their "luxury" (saying this with nose as high up as possible) standards.

HAHAHAHA

Fuckin' idiots. If a car (f-body) looks good and is damn fast, who gives a fuck how much it costs? If anything, f-body owners are smarter because they paid less to have a car that turns just as many heads, if not more, than theirs do.

its funny how all those people are saying things about an fbody and probably never driven one. i test drove a 3 series and a g35 before buying my camaro and it wasnt even worth reconsidering. the other 2 felt like cars. the camaro put me in awe. the m3 is unreliable, overpriced and hard to maintain. and i beat one the day i bought my camaro. it was my first kill

BMWs are nice cars but could never picture them as "sports" cars, and so what if f-bodies are cheaper and not as luxury...who really gets fast cars for luxury? Plus f-bodies are the best bang for your buck rides.

The car obviously outclasses the owner. These guys have their heads so up their asses it makes me laugh. In every car that is built their is always a stereotype. In many people eyes the 1980's it was supposed that Trans Am and Camaros were owned by rednecks and it now sticks with the car. In that case lets focus on the the spoiled yuppy that cant do an oil change and has mommy and daddy pay for the BMW. Heck if I wanted to own a BMW I could, but why spend 55k on a car when it cannot compare to its other competitors. Example a Corvette. Yeah they can tell you all that they want how their damn BMW is the big shit. When it comes down to it the Corvette is a world wide competitor while the BMW M3 is not. The C5R won every race in the Le Mans last year. The new Corvette simply outclasses and out perform the M3.
I drive a WS6 Trans Am and I know for a fact that it is a very well built car. I know for a fact that stock for stock my much cheaper car will outperform yours in a straight line and hang with yours in the twisties. The exterior styling on a Trans Am is very appealing to most. The interior was meant to fit the tradional muscle car theme from the past. These cars are truly underestimated and taken for granted by most but appreciated by those whom have actually driven them.
As far as stereotypes, that is all bias and ignorance. I am not a red neck. In fact I know that I exceed most of these, BMW owner, individuals in terms of intelligence, class and income. But hey I am not here to compare that am I.
I bought this car because it truly stands for tradition and performance. On a regular day I usually drive my new Lexus GS. But when I want to have fun and light up the tires I bring out the inner kid in me. Every time that I take the WS6 out whether it be in some of the richest parts of downtown Chicago or any other place for that matter I get compliments whether it be a porsche owner or a regular joe shmoe. Some ask me what kind of car it is? I reply its just a Pontiac. Others ask if it is as fast as it looks.
I know for a fact that 10, 20, 30, 40 they will continue to compliment the icon. This true American icon will continue to live as a legend.
Do you guys actually belive their beloved m3 will hold its value? I think not. Its just going to be another plain boxy import car!
I pitty those who built the thread.

its funny because people have this thing in there heads that american cars cant turn and are only good in straight lines...im pretty sure my 1le suspension package would do pretty good against a m3 on a roadcourse...and if not im sure the 30k i saved buyin my lowly f-body over a m3 i could do some more mods to make it even better

i like m3's and all but to me my car has more bang for your buck.....not sayin i wouldnt go out and buy a m3 if i had 50k layin around..cus i would but for me bein 21 years old i know nothin in my price range even compares to my hawk

Wow, impressive combination of arrogance and ignorance in that thread.

Not sure what's worse, the misconceptions about the technology and capabilities, or the stereotyping of models' owners followed by statements about hating everyone who owns one of them.

what a bunch of dumb fucks!! now iam going to think whiney fag everytime i see a m3 much like they think redneck for f-bodys. at least a couple of them knew it was a stupid thread and said so. any one that judges a car by the driver of most of them is not a true enthuisist. as is someone who buys a car for the price. i could have a m3 or c6 for what i have in my f-bod,but so could any or other cat with a little money. i think m3s are very nice cars that are built soild, but they just dont have enough beef under hood. the next generation due soon should help that a bit.there are some crazy fast m3s out there but very few. funny most of the guys that buy those cars know less about them than your average f-body owner.there thinking( its a BMW,its 55k, oh and its the m series so it fast and sporty to.) that is until your "typical redneck poor dude" with a stock ls1 walks the dog with there ass.

Take a look at this post, at least someone over there has some sense.

Man, I hate to be the official buzz kill, but for once, I'm embarrassed to be a member of this forum. I mean do we need to have a gut-check moment here? What kind of snobs are we on this board? Scott, I know what your intent was, but I think the thread has taken a disturbing turn and we have shown ourselves for the jerks we really are (and I lump myself in there as a member of this club).

Whatever. I'm not even going to check out that thread, because I'm happy with my purchase and I don't feel the need to have my feelings validated.
