Default Can we make our cars Sound/Rev like?

Hey guys...

I am curious... Do you guys think that we could make our cars sound like Ferrari's?.
I mean what would it take in order to make it sound and rev like it?...
I just love how they are able to rev so quickly and just sounds awesome..

I mean, changing the internals to all lightweight stuff would help?.

Please help me out, I am just wondering...

Thanks

Do you want it to sound like a Ferrari, or just rev quickly? You will never get it to sound like a Ferrari...that is an engine design thing. As for getting it to rev very quickly, lightweight engine internals and a very lightweight clutch setup would be the keys, but driving it in stop and go traffic would be a nightmare.

Believe it or not, this question comes up more often than not...

Wow really?
A lot of people ask these questions?
lightweight engine internals would probably cost a lot I bet??
I could probably do w/ the clutch.
Please enlighten me w/ the clutch. like what? lightweight flywheel and?
Would underdrive pulley help too?
Thanks

Probably going to be tough to get it to sound like a Ferrari and I doubt we're going to rev as high as most of their motors (the redline on the 360 is 8,500 rpm and the Enzo is 8,200 rpm), however one alternative to get more of that "quick rev" sound would be to get an aggressive cam and 4.10's or 4.30's in the rear.....you would spend most of your time higher up in the band and would certainly run through the gears much quicker.

That being said, there are trade offs to such a setup (fuel economy, considerably lower top-end, etc.).

You're driving the wrong car man.

Most F-body owners want that throaty V8 sound, and that's what LSx engines deliver. If you want a car that sounds like a Ferrari, buy a Ferrari or some sports car with smaller cubes and a high redline.

I swapped the 2004 GTO motor into mine a year ago, but now I'm thinking about a Corvette C5 motor. Any thoughts?

I cant believe nobody has mentioned how most of your classic Ferrari sounds are from a V12 engine. But for their v-8s they are of a different design, smaller cubes, more than just 1 cam.

I think there may be a 97.6% chance that I was joking on that one.
