Default Weight distribution

Any idea of the distribution for a stock '99 Z28??? Trying to locate scales locally for an exact numbers but figured someone here might know approximate numbers.

I'm looking at swapping motors, kmember, rear end, etc over the winter and wanted to take this time to play with weight. For the motor I'm undecided between an iron or alumimum based engine.

Not sure if I just want to cut weight everywhere and stay aluminum block or if going to a tubular Kmember and iron block would be a better combo...

I was thinking about this to. I have lost a lot of weight but also added some. I must still be heavy as my front still sits low about -1".

I have removed all ac/heat,seats,air bags,kmember,arms upper/lower. In the off season I will drop another 150lb of the front. With pin on hood,cutout fenders,bumper!,ect...

There is a pic in the drag forum of a Z28 with 5" of front fender gap due to weight drop. So know I am lost. I realy need base line numbers before the cuts.

Like JD said 56/44:
I scaled my 02 Z28, not much lightening, besides hollow sway bars.
Me in it ~170, 3/4 tank of gas=3607 total
LF=1041 LR=815
RF=983 RR=767
Front 2024 (56%) Rear 1583 (44%)

The idea is to "corner balance" your car

LF+RR =

RF+LR =

or as above

1041(LF) + 767 (RR) = 1808

983 (RF) + 815 (LR) = 1798

LF+RR= 1808 = 50%

RF+LR=1798 = 50%

This car with driver is balanced.

Not sure where my mind was ...

LS1 equipped cars should be closer to 57%.

I weigh 275 and my 96 TA came off track last weekend with almost a full tank of gas at 3360. So the car weigh under 3K dry.

I'm tall enough that I have the seat mounted to the floor in the rear passenger footwell, probably 8-10" further back that stock.
