| VIR full course track times let's see em! I was discussing some lap times with a buddy of mine and was curious to know what some of your lap times are on the full VIR course. Just wanting to compare his times with some others. His best is a 2.10. Lets see some times and then I will tell you what kind of car it is ! |

I've bee there half a dozen times, but I'd still earning, doiing intermediate HPDE, in a street car (a big pig at that). I had a friend put a watch to me, at 2:28. I'm sure I'm better than that now. I finally got a cruise cam, so I will be able to time myself.
Going in July & looking forward to seeing what I can do. VIR is soooo much fun. The uphill Essess just suck you up and shoot you out, too much fun.

| I was there a few wk ago racing during the One Lap Of America. This would be my first time on the full course. No Practice, One Re-con lap, then a standing start. My 3 lap average including a standing start was 6:57, 2:19 average. I normally loose 6-9 sec on the standing start so I was in the 2:17 ish, But I had a Off at corners 4-5-5a. I havent seen the video yet to know my exact lap times. 02 zo-6 on STREET tires. Many mods but down on power due to Plugged convertors.
The car that won this event kicked everyone ASS!!!! Viper ACR with a Professional driver ran a 3 lap average including a standing start of 6:10.9. So 2.03.5 average. I would say 2min flat or 1:59 without the standing start. Oh yeah STREET Tires too.
Second place car ran 3 laps at 6:24!!!!!!!!!!!

| The car I was talking in the first post about is a Honda Challenge car. It is a 96-00 Civic Hatch back. He told me he didn't think a stock Z06 C5 or C6 would be able to run his times even on a good tire. IDK just curious to see some other times thanks guys! |

I looked around my other hangout and yes a vette on street tires can get to 2:10. With slick's there are naturally faster.

John | 2:10's on street tires? Damn who ever is driving that has a MUCH larger driver mod than me.
That is seriously hauling @ss. The NASA AIX and STU winners usually hover around 2:03 - 2:05. And they are very far from stock, and certainly not running street tires. http://www.nasaracing.net/VIR_Mar_08...%20032908.html http://www.nasaracing.net/VIR_Mar_08...%20033008.html http://www.nasaracing.net/VIR_Feb_08..._02-23-08.html http://www.nasaracing.net/VIR_Feb_08..._02-24-08.html

| Chris I just looked up some scca t-1 results and there are t-1 vette's guys running in the 2:06-2:07 range. You could expect a stock vette car driven to the limits to be right where I said. There are other cars that can run faster than 2:10 on street tires with no warm up sessions. Like I said in my above post I dont have my exact lap times yet. I did an average of 2:19 including a standing start. So im at least 2:17 I had an off at 4-5. So i would say im in the 2:15 ish when all done.(From where I finshed it sucks to me) First time there. No Practice, one hot lap, 3 timed. If that fast in certain people's eye's so be it.
