Any reason not to weld up panhard bar support brackets? i removed my panhard rod support brace to run true 3" same side duals on my 2000 z28. obviously this wont be as stiff as it should be and there are consequences, but they are worth not hearing bang bang everytime i hit a bump. but i do plan on running deals gap in the carolina's soon over the summer.. so i want my car to stick to the road. anyhow, i was looking at all the spot welds, and i know welding the gaps should add considerable strength, but im wondering if there is something im not thinking about that would make that a bad idea? i am a skilled welder, I welded the torque boxes on every mustang or cobra i ever owned.. this is my first chevy, in fact the first chevy in the whole family so fill me in if im making a mistake! ive already got some nice subframes on the car, but im lookin to add some of that rigidity back to the panhard area without having to buy the BMR panhard thast is for true duals (at least for now, id rather invest in the upcoming cam/head swap, and deal with the panhard later).
input!!! i will drag race the car of course, but its so much fun to corner also.. so basically im building an all around car that does everything well but nothing GREAT. lol that confuses some ppl but thats how i like it
